Natalie Clein burst into the public’s consciousness aged 16 when she won the BBC Young Musician of the Year in 1994. She has made several CDs for EMI Classics, most recently a recording of Elgar’s Cello Concerto with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic conducted by Vernon Handly. Natalie Clein made her concerto debut at the BBC Proms in 1997 and is in demand as a recitalist at the Wigmore Hall London, in Tokyo, New York, Vienna and Salzburg. “Clein fearlessly goes where others have feared to tread for a generation, living each and every phrase with a poetic intensity and emotional immediacy that captures the moment to perfection.” Julian Haylock, Classic FM Magazine
