New members are always welcome. Anyone thinking of joining can come along to one or two orchestra rehearsals without obligation and if you like us then you're very welcome to stay. Our vacancies do change over time so please get in touch.

We have a breadth of backgrounds within our orchestra - some are retired (lucky them) but most of us have day jobs. The age range is wide but with a lot of young members which makes for an interesting and friendly mix. Most of the orchestra are from the borough of Barnet but with easy access for rehearsals to the A1 and A41, buses and Hendon Central tube our membership range extends throughout North London.

If you've achieved grade 6 or better on your preferred instrument or you have experience of playing in an amateur (or professional!) orchestra then you shouldn't have too much trouble with our repertoire - though some of it never seems to get any easier!
